Cladonia rei Schaerer
Wand lichen, cup lichen
About plant names...
Wand lichen is technically considered fruticose , because it looks a little like a tiny
shrub, but the specimens I have seen are separate, bare, sharp-tipped stalks. I found virtually
no information about this species online.
Identification: Stalks are grayish-green,
somewhat curved, and typically pointed on top. Tops of some are cup-shaped,
with brown proliferations.
